Every few months, I get the same call. A production company just landed a new series or a brand is scaling up their video output, and they realize they don't have anyone who actually knows how to manage post production at that level. They've got talented editors. They've got a budget. What they don't have is someone who can build the infrastructure, design the workflows, and keep 40 terabytes of media organized across three cities.

That's where I come in.

I've spent the last decade in post production management — first in-house at production companies and agencies, then as Content Management Lead at Shopify, where I built and managed the media workflows for a distributed creative team of 120+ editors, producers, and directors of photography across North America.

At Shopify, I led the deployment of LucidLink as the team's cloud file system, replacing the patchwork of hard drives and file transfers that was slowing everyone down. The result: editors in Toronto, Vancouver, and LA could open the same Premiere project and start cutting within seconds of each other, with no syncing, no relinking, and no waiting.

That project confirmed what I'd been thinking for years: most post production problems aren't creative problems. They're infrastructure and workflow problems. And they're solvable if you bring in someone who's built these systems before.

CSC is my consulting practice. I work directly with production companies, broadcasters, agencies, and corporate media teams in Toronto and across Canada. Sometimes that means designing a facility from scratch. Sometimes it means stepping in as a fractional Post Supervisor for a season. Sometimes it's a two-hour call to help a team pick the right shared storage setup.

I know the tools because I've used them — not because I read spec sheets. ProRes, BRAW, R3D, MXF, DNxHR. Apple Silicon editing rigs. Synology and QNAP NAS. 10GbE networking. Frame.io, Evercast, and LucidLink. If it touches a post production pipeline, I've probably configured it, troubleshot it, or replaced it.

The goal is always the same: get your team working faster, with fewer bottlenecks, and without overspending on hardware or software you don't need.
