Every few months, I get the same call. A production company has landed a new series, or a brand is increasing its video output. The team has talented editors and a budget. What it needs is someone to build the infrastructure, design the workflow, and keep 40 terabytes of media organized across three cities.

That's where I come in.

I've spent the last decade managing post production. I started in-house at production companies and agencies. Later, as Content Management Lead at Shopify, I built and managed media workflows for a distributed team of 120+ editors, producers, and directors of photography across North America.

At Shopify, I led the deployment of LucidLink as the team's cloud file system. It replaced a slow patchwork of hard drives and file transfers. Editors in Toronto, Vancouver, and LA could open the same Premiere project within seconds, without syncing or relinking.

That project confirmed what I'd suspected for years. Most post production problems are not creative problems. They are infrastructure and workflow problems, and they can be solved.

CSC is my consulting practice for production companies, broadcasters, agencies, and corporate media teams in Toronto and across Canada. I might design a facility, join a series as a fractional Post Supervisor, or help a team choose shared storage in a two-hour call.

I know the tools because I've used them, not because I read spec sheets. ProRes, BRAW, R3D, MXF, DNxHR. Apple Silicon editing rigs. Synology and QNAP NAS. 10GbE networking. Frame.io, Streamwell, and LucidLink. If it touches a post production pipeline, I've probably configured, troubleshot, or replaced it.

The goal is always the same: get your team working faster, with fewer bottlenecks, and without overspending on hardware or software you don't need.
